White candles

White candles on the mantle shelf
destroying time together
cheap...paraffin..
blue smoke when snuffed out
burning slow ... 
black soot on cobweb ceilings,
truth and time consumed.

laurels for victors' craven souls
fading leaves shriveled blooms
decorations; futile decorations .

Quarter moon
Three in the morning,a quarter moon
half way in the sky, a black sky

Time has healed, it always will
not wasted years on idle thoughts ...
